The hope is to wake up tomorrow to a brand new morning. In terms of gravity and planetary rotation it is a near certainty. Regarding the more ethereal aspects of life, the newness of the morning may take some effort.

I've never really put any stock in new year's resolutions. If it's December 10th and you think 'Hey no more Little Debby's', why do you wait three weeks to stop eating them? Why not a December 10th resolution.
